What a class looks like
Each 90-minute session begins with safety reminders and tool introductions. Students work on hands-on woodworking projects using only hand tools—measuring, sawing, hammering, drilling, sanding, and carving. Projects progress from simple items like wooden clocks and butter knives to complex structures like toolboxes, depending on the student's level.

Children aged 8–18 who can follow safety instructions and work with hand tools. Not recommended for children with difficulty controlling behaviour.

Curriculum & Progression
Three-stage progressive curriculum based on Scandinavian Slöjd pedagogy: Foundation (Apprentice & Explorer classes), Intermediate (Shaper & Builder classes), Advanced (Craftsman class). Each stage builds on previous skills, moving from basic tool use to complex construction and carving techniques.

About
A weekly woodworking class for children based on Scandinavian Slöjd pedagogy. Students learn to use hand tools safely, work with wood, and create practical objects while developing concentration, patience, and creativity. The curriculum is divided into five progressive stages from Foundation to Advanced, with students placed according to age, experience, and ability.
Before your first class
Ensure your child has eaten before class as woodworking requires physical effort. Do not wear slippers—closed-toe shoes are essential for safety.
